Prerequisites and co-requisites
Mastering the disciplines "Fundamentals of Geoinformatics and Geostatistics", "Higher Mathematics"
Course content
The discipline "Spatial analysis and modeling of geological data" is aimed at preparing a specialist to study the state of the geological environment based on information modeling, determines the important relationships between its individual components based on spatial models, and forms basic skills in using special software GIS tools. Covers the analytical functions of spatial analysis, basic approaches to the description of space, operations of measurement and operations of analytical geometry. Provides in-depth knowledge and skills of acquirers regarding the functional capabilities of spatial analysis and spatial information, means of processing attribute data and analysis. Apply geo-informational methods of statistical surface analysis and interpolation, implement the possibilities of overlay analysis using standard GIS tools. Carrying out thematic classification and development of databases of geological information and analysis of spatially linked data.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final assessment in the form of credit is given according to the results of the semester: the maximum assessment is 20 points, the final assessment is 12 points. During the assessment, the student performs assessment work using knowledge of spatial analysis and modeling of geological data and providing a geological and economic assessment of minerals. The final evaluation in the form of credit is not mandatory, if the student refuses to participate in this evaluation form, the student will not receive the corresponding points for the final evaluation.
