Prerequisites and co-requisites
● successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of biogeography", "Fundamentals hydrology and oceanology", "Fundamentals of general geology", "Soil science with the basics of soil geography", "Fundamentals of meteorology". ● the ability to establish the advantages of a landscape approach to planning environment and its protection at the current stage of the development of society. ● the ability to analyze patterns of interaction of human society with the environment, the influence of environmental factors on social production, negative consequences of human economic activity from positions nature conservation approach to nature use. ● knowledge of the main theoretical provisions of nature protection, patterns of natural differentiation of the earth's surface. ● knowledge about the features of the landscape approach in optimizing interaction nature and society; ● possession of landscape mapping skills.
Course content
This academic discipline devoted to the study of theoretical and applied problems of the present landscape planning and nature conservation areas; main stages evolution of the relationship between nature and society; consequences of production human activity; impact of various branches of economy on nature environment, as well as the formation of skills and abilities for mastering the main aspects of environmental protection activities. The discipline "Fundamentals landscape planning" is aimed at deepening theoretical knowledge about complex relations between society and the environment, the formation of students of special professional, social and personal competencies, accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, ability identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural geography and landscape studies. Separate components of the discipline are the study of modern principles and methods studies of landscape planning and nature conservation areas as a scientific applied direction of human activity; ways of solving theoretical and applied problems developed by landscape science and ecology; principles interaction of human society with the living environment as a whole system; methods of landscape planning and nature conservation areas and practical skills of forming a comfortable living environment for a person. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following components, such as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and information technologies in landscape planning and environmental protection territory, the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative design and planning research methods, the ability to independently investigate, analyze spatial temporal changes and dynamics of landscapes and nature conservation areas in different areas large-scale levels.
