This educational discipline dedicated to the study of the main provisions of the European Green Strategy infrastructure (IS), ways of its integration into territorial planning and management, as well as the formation of skills and abilities to master modern research methods of JI in urban and rural areas and solving the main ones
problems of nature protection. Discipline "Green infrastructure and geography nature protection of Europe and Ukraine" is aimed at deepening the theoretical and
applied knowledge about the importance of nature conservation areas in planning and assessment of JI for the creation of a single ecological network of territories, formation of masters of special professional, social and personal competencies, accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, ability to identify, formulate and solve numerous problems in the process
application of acquired knowledge in practice. Separate components of the discipline are the study of: criteria and mechanisms for detection of IP objects; methods of management of environmental protection processes in JI; principles of rational use and protection of EI components from exposure unfavorable anthropogenic and technogenic factors; methods of conducting study of the consequences of adverse effects on EI; Green strategies infrastructure adopted by the European Commission in 2013; design ЗI depending on the amount of benefits it can provide to society. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following components, such as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and of information technologies in the planning of the constituent components of CI, ability apply quantitative and qualitative methods of green infrastructure research, the ability to independently research, analyze changes in concepts related to green
