Learning outcomes
PR04. Carry out research and/or conduct innovative activity with a goal gaining new knowledge, development of new methods and procedures in geography and interdisciplinary contexts, in particular, and on issues nature protection, restoration and landscape protection and biodiversity. PR08. Carry out research natural- and socio-geographical manifestations of the development of geosystems in complex and unpredictable conditions, predict theirs development, analyze alternatives, evaluate risks and likely consequences. PR12. Plan and execute theoretical and applied research, to do reasonable conclusions, analyze and present research results, in particular, and regarding cross-border nature conservation cooperation PR15. Evaluate independently key development trends natural and social geographic processes for formation of new directions scientific research, in particular, and in nature protection. PR16, PR17

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of disciplines. Know the main properties of geospatial data, geophysical and optical properties of landscape components. 2. To be able to give a comprehensive physical and geographical description of the territory, carry out selection and critical analysis of informational, cartographic and geospatial data sources. 3. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to use them apply in production and research activities; be able to model objects and processes, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods methods and geoinformation technologies.
Course content
Educational discipline provides study of theoretical provisions of geo-information and remote provision of cross-border environmental monitoring. Discipline aimed at forming students' search skills, critical evaluation, acquisition and analysis of geospatial data, including DZZ data for solving theoretical-methodological and applied problems in the field of natural sciences geography and organization of cross-border environmental monitoring.
