Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Basic knowledge in the field of finance, which is required at the entrance tests for the educational and professional program "Financial Institutes and Risk Management". 2. Possession of elementary skills of mathematical modeling, forecasting, methods of economic analysis, work in MS Excel, preparation of presentations and reports in MS Word, MS Power Point.
Course content
This educational discipline is devoted to the formation of students' stable knowledge of the theory and practice of monitoring, analysis and assessment of the totality of risks in financial markets. In the process of teaching the discipline, the following tasks are solved: acquiring skills and abilities in analyzing the dynamics and structure of risk; consideration of the main methods of risk minimization; studying the order of risk diversification; mastering the skills of insurance, banking, fund risk analysis; mastering the algorithm for building a risk management system in various financial institutions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The objective of the discipline is to develop students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in solving professional tasks in the field of risk management in financial markets and risk management in financial organizations. It aims to highlight the theoretical and organizational-methodological aspects of constructing and operating risk management systems, as well as methods for managing various types of risks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of students' knowledge is based on the results of work on all types of tasks (semester assessment and exam): - in laboratory classes (interviews, testing, performance of calculation tasks, participation in discussions, etc.); - performance of tasks of independent work (with compliance with specified deadlines); - taking the exam.
