Prerequisites and co-requisites
The basis of the study of this discipline are such disciplines as: "Statistics", "Higher Mathematics for Economists", "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics". Be able to use software for processing large amounts of data and problem-oriented application packages. Have the skills of statistical processing, analysis and visualization of data. In turn, knowledge of this discipline contributes to the successful completion of master's theses.
Course content
Statistical modeling methods are actively used in the modern world in all areas of practice, and statistical analysis has become an integral tool in ensuring sound management decisions at all levels of government. The discipline is aimed at mastering the methods of statistical assessment and forecasting the development of complex socio - economic systems and contains 4 content modules.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline - mastering the methods of statistical analysis of complex socio-economic phenomena and processes; modeling relationships and development trends; forecasting and substantiation of management decisions, as well as the acquisition of skills and abilities to process statistical information using computer technology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. Points 60 / min. Points 36) 1) performance of practical exercises during laboratory classes -30 points / 18 points; 2) 2 control modular works - 5 points each, together - 10 points / 6 points; 3) preparation and presentation of an individual project - 20 points / 12 points. - final assessment in the form of an exam: A student is not allowed to take the exam if he / she received less than 36 points during the semester.
