Learning outcomes
Know the main forms of organization of science, the main elements of scientific research. Know the stages of conducting scientific research, the structure of scientific research and scientific publication.
Be able to perform analysis, pre-processing, data visualization, perform structural and parametric identification of unknown dependencies and their optimization.
Be able to evaluate the field of intellectual property as a direction of legal research. To be able to organize research activities in the field of intellectual property
Competently and accurately formulate and express one's positions, properly justify them and participate in a reasoned professional discussion when analyzing objects and intellectual property rights as an object of scientific knowledge.
Determine and implement the stages of the scientific research process as a component for the execution and defense of a master's thesis in the field of intellectual property.

Course content
The study of the academic discipline is aimed at the acquisition by students of competencies in the field of methodology and organization of scientific research, publication of their results, structuring of knowledge and conducting experiments. Students will analyze the surrounding processes, identify scientific problems and problems, investigate the effectiveness of known models, methods and tools, perform modifications and optimize known methods and, if necessary, develop methods for solving new problems.
The meaning of the concepts of "methodology", "methodology", "research methods", the understanding of science as research will be revealed, the specific-scientific, general-scientific and philosophical levels of methodology are considered. A set of methodological systems of modern philosophy of science is outlined. The structure of theoretical and empirical knowledge in unity with the methods of theoretical and empirical research is considered. The methodological problems of nonlinear science, which determine the state of modern scientific methodology, are highlighted.

Assessment methods and criteria
The condition for obtaining a positive final grade in the discipline is to achieve at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points on the control work from each module. The maximum number of points a student can receive for work in a semester does not exceed 100 points on a 100-point scale (34 points for the first module, 33 points each for the second and third modules).
The form of the final evaluation is the credit. The assessment is carried out by issuing a final grade, which is defined as the sum of points for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. Students who scored a total of fewer points than the critical minimum
- 40 points are not allowed before passing the test. The recommended minimum for admission to credit is 48 points (12 points from each module). Upon receiving the resulting final number of points from 60 and above, the student is assigned a credit.
