Course content
In modern telecommunications and radio engineering, signals play a distinct role. With their help, it is performed transfer of all information and their properties determine almost all parameters of telecommunication systems. The subject is devoted to studying main classes and types of signals, methods of their processing and transformation. Studying this subject permits students to better understand processes in telecommunication networks and use gained knowledge for design and maintenance of such systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Students are assessed both during the semester and at the end of the semester exam. During the semester, students are evaluated on all types of activities. Overall grade for the semester is composed as weighed sum of student’s marks for different kinds of activities. Maximum grade that can be achieved by student for the work over semester cannot exceed 60 points on 100-point scale. Final assessment is performed in the form of end of the semester exam and maximum points available for students at the exam are 40. Student is admitted to take the exam under the condition of successfully performing all 14 scheduled laboratory classes.
