Learning outcomes
PR6.Use the methods of numerical differentiation and integration of functions, solving ordinary differential and integral equations, features of numerical methods and the possibilities of their adaptation to engineering problems, have skills in software implementation of numerical methods.
PR18.Know and apply the tools of data analysis, methods of cloud computing and artificial intelligence to solve applied problems, which include the analysis of numerical series, statistical problems, determination of probabilistic relationships between data, economic problems.
CK4.The ability to use modern methods of mathematical modeling of objects, processes and phenomena, to develop models and algorithms for the numerical solution of mathematical modeling problems, to take into account the errors of the approximate numerical solution of professional problems.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basics of higher mathematics (linear algebra, basics of mathematical analysis, differential equations, integral and differential calculus).
Have the skills to work with tools for implementing methods and algorithms, develop appropriate programs in high-level languages, packages for scientific research.
Course content
During the study of the discipline, basic methods and algorithms for solving nonlinear equations and systems, exact and iterative methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations, methods of interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, methods for solving the Cauchy problem and boundary value problem for differential equations and systems
The discipline is aimed at forming students' competencies and abilities to apply numerical methods to solve practical problems; to use modern methods of mathematical modeling of objects, processes and phenomena, to develop models and algorithms for the numerical solution of mathematical modeling problems, to take into account the errors of the approximate numerical solution of professional problems.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, students perform laboratory work and present their results to the audience, and two written control works are also conducted.
With the prior agreement of the teacher, students can be credited with the results of their learning, confirmed by certificates from the online platform Coursera, as part of their lab work.
The maximum number of points a student can receive for their work during the semester is 100 points.
The form of the final evaluation is the credit. The assessment is carried out by issuing a final grade, which is defined as the sum of points for all successfully assessed learning outcomes.
To receive credit, it is mandatory for students to complete all laboratory work (minimum score - 48 points, maximum - 80 points) and write the control works (minimum score - 12 points, maximum - 20 points). When the resulting final score is 60 or higher, the student is credited.
