Learning outcomes
To know: -basic methods and concepts of scientific research: empirical,theoretical, general scientific -methodological principles and their change during the development of science -concept and system of intellectual property law, the place of intellectual property law in the legal system of Ukraine. To be able to -distinguish the method, methodology, techniques, techniques -study and draw conclusions about the content of legal concepts, doctrines of interpretation of the essence of the rights to the results of creative activity; -analyze the peculiarities of the formation of the system of legal regulation of intellectual property relations. -research as methodological principles; use the requirements for scientific theory as general scientific methodological principles -determine and investigate the problems of protection of certain objects of copyright and industrial property rights -ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the main aspects of the formation and development of legal institutions; general principles of legal support for the protection of the results of creative activity, acts of legislation governing the relations of participants in the field of protection of the rights to the results of intellectual and creative activity. 2. Be able to assess and determine the role and objectives of protection of intellectual property. 3. To have basic skills in preparing draft legal documents, taking into account the peculiarities of the practical situation and with the help of legal methods to resolve disputes arising in the field of protection of intellectual property rights. 4. Have a basic knowledge of the general course of philosophy. 5. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the professional discipline
Course content
The program consists of two modules: Module 1 is "Methodology and organization of scientific research" which reveals the content of the concepts "methodology","method","research methods","many methodological systems", understanding of science as research, philosophical levels of methodology. Features of the structure of theoretical and empirical research. Methodological problems of nonlinear science,which determine the state of modern methodology of science Module 2 is "Fundamentals of Intellectual Property" reveals the concept of intellectual, creative activity,the grounds for acquiring legal protection of intellectual property rights,the legal system of subjects and objects of IP rights, personal non-property and property rights of intellectual property. Copyright and related rights; patent law; the right to means of individualization of participants in civil turnover, legal protection of other intellectual property,disposal and protection of intellectual property rights

Assessment methods and criteria
The form of control of work on lectures - written express - tests on 10 questions at the end of the lecture. The abstract is evaluated based on the competencies shown by the student on the basis of his independent work: ability to work autonomously and the ability to search for information and use it. Final evaluation in the form of a test
