Course content
Students receive basic knowledge about groundwater and its classification, hydrogeological stratification, types of groundwater, as well as the environmental impact (natural and anthropogenic) on groundwater and vice versa. Also, students will be introduced to the basic ideas about the geological environment as the basis or environment for the placement of engineering structures; interaction of the geological environment and engineering structure; with the main factors in the formation of engineering and geological conditions of the territories; basic principles of ecological geology

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory work, independent work of students
Assessment methods and criteria
The control provides for 7 laboratory works and 2 written tests in the 3rd semester and 6 laboratory works and 2 written tests in the 4th semester. Assessment in the 3rd semester provides for an intermediate control, which is calculated as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester. A separate form of control at the end of the 3rd semester is not provided. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a written-oral examination in the 4th semester. The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. During the semester, a student can receive from 36 to 60 points. During the exam, a student can get from 24 to 40 points. The number of points received for work during each semester is multiplied by a factor of 0.5. The student is not allowed to the final assessment if during the semester work he scored less than 20 points.
