Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Biogeography", "Meteorology",
"Soil Science", "Geology", "Hydrology and Oceanology", "Geomorphology",
"Cartography", "Fundamentals of geoecology", "Physical geography of continents and
oceans", "Landscape studies".
2. To be able to establish the nature of relationships between the causes of occurrence,
consequences and ways of solving environmental problems.
3. To be able to analyze the negative consequences of unregulated human activity with
positions of the geoecological approach to the expert assessment of the environment.
4. To know the signs of the quality of the environment as a system, the methodology of system analysis and
general methods and models of system analysis of environmental expert assessment.
5. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of environmental expert assessment, the basics
environmental forecasting and modeling, monitoring indicator
Course content
This academic discipline is devoted to the study of methods of expert assessment of the environment, the impact on the environment of various environmental factors and economic activity of man, the essence
the concepts of "environmental impact assessment" and "strategic environmental assessment", as well as the formation of skills and abilities to solve current problems in the field of geoecology, principles and modern methods used to solve them. The discipline "Methods of expert assessment of the environment" is aimed at deepening theoretical geoecological knowledge,
the formation of special professional, social and personal competencies in students, the accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of environmental expert assessment. Separate components discipline is the study of quantitative methods
measuring the environmental risk of the planned production activity; ways
development of target programs for management of environmental protection processes on
problem areas; principles of rational use and protection
components of the environment from the influence of adverse anthropogenic and man-made factors
factors; methods of researching the consequences of adverse changes in the environment and
ways to prevent them.
The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following
components, such as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and
of information technologies in the field of expert assessment of the environment, ability
apply quantitative and qualitative methods of comprehensive environmental assessment
the dangers of industrial facilities, the ability to independently investigate and analyze
spatio-temporal changes of the environment for the purposes of its expert assessment.
