Course content
This discipline is dedicated To study general methods of processing geographical information and data, principles and modern techniques for solving major problems in the plane of the subject area Knowledge of natural geography. The discipline is aimed at forming students special professional, social and personal competencies, accumulation Knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information and data from different sources, ability to identify,formulate and solve problems in the field of natural geography. Separate Components of discipline are the study of general approaches and special methods study of scientific publications (articles in professional publications, monographs, etc.),cartographic materials, processing of field and laboratory results research, remote -sensing data as the main sources of receipt reliable information about the environment.The functional block of discipline involves mastering such components,as the ability to apply the basic knowledge of the natural sciences, the ability Apply simple quantitative and qualitative methods in the study of geosystems, the ability to explore independently, to analyze space-time changes in the parameters of geocomponents for the purposes of successful further professional activity.
