Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of professional training disciplines. Knowledge of the theoretical and applied foundations of social and economic geography, urban geography, regional development management, urban and regional planning; Mastering the methods of performing analytical, forecasting, cartographic, design works; Confident skills in using specialized software and geographic information systems (GIS); Knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework for ensuring the basics of urban planning, issues of regulating urban development, planning and development of territories, improvement of settlements, targeted, rational use, protection, accounting and assessment of land at the national, regional, local and economic levels, procedures and methods for protection cultural and architectural heritage; Knowledge of the basics of the concept of sustainable (balanced) development, in particular with regard to ways of achieving balanced settlements.
Course content
The content of the production practice of students of the educational and qualification level "Master" also includes the entire set of tasks that must be performed at the workplace of a specific practice base and involves the collection and processing of economic and statistical information, conducting practical research and experiments necessary for the preparation of the final report on practice and individual task. Completion of practice will contribute to the assimilation of modern methods and techniques scientific analysis of socio-geographical phenomena and processes occurring in urbanized systems, in particular as part of conducting field and camera studies, mastering methods of working with geospatial information.

Instructions, interviews with the head of practice from the institution, independent work, project implementation, scientific discussions.
Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined based on the results of a written report and evaluation and characteristics of the student by the supervisor of the practice from the institution, which is noted in the practice diary. After the end of the internship period, students report on the completion of an individual task and the internship program at the institution. The student's form of reporting on the internship is a written report and its defense at the department meeting. The written report, agreed with the head of practice from the institution, is submitted for review to the scientific supervisor and approved by the head of practice from the department.
