Course content
Mastering by students of modern methods, skills, abilities and ways of organizing the work of a teacher of a higher school, forming professional skills and abilities in them based on the knowledge obtained at the University for making independent decisions during work in specific conditions, conducting various types of training classes in higher education by students-assistants (seminars, practical, laboratory). The basis for practice is the Department of Geodesy and Cartography of the Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Assistant practice separated from theoretical training is a component of the educational and professional training program for students of the second (master's) level of higher education in the field of knowledge - 10 "Natural Sciences" specialty 103 - "Earth Sciences", the educational and scientific program "Cartography and Geographical information systems" This practice is included in the cycle of mandatory educational disciplines of the educational and scientific program "Cartography and geographic information systems". It is held in the 4th semester of the 2nd year in the amount of 240 hours (8 ECTS credits). The practice ends with a differential assessment. At the stage of practice, the master conducts seminar (practical, laboratory) classes, attends teachers' classes and prepares written reviews. During practice, the student takes an active part in scientific and methodical work, engages in self-training.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the modular rating system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, an evaluation of theoretical training (20%) and an evaluation of practical training (80%). At the end of the practice period, students report on the completion of the program and the individual task. The student's form of reporting on internship is a written report. sections of the practice program and individual assignment, sections on occupational health and safety, conclusions and proposals, a list of used literature, etc. A report is drawn up according to the requirements established by the internship program.The written report is submitted for review to the scientific supervisor of practice from the department.
