Learning outcomes
To know: the essence of modern conceptual approaches to the study of public spaces of the city; the essence and types of public spaces of the city, their functions; methods of researching public spaces of the city; modern transformations of public spaces of the city; modern trends in the development of urban public spaces in the context of a city for people
To be able to: reveal the cause-and-effect relationships of processes and phenomena that determine the transformations of public spaces of the city; quantitatively and qualitatively analyze public spaces of the city; understand modern requirements for the arrangement of public spaces of an inclusive city

To have basic knowledge of the foundations of urban research, urban design, urban regeneration, public geography, social geography;

Course content
The academic discipline is dedicated to the study of conceptual approaches and methodological principles of researching public spaces of the city, modern transformations and trends in the development of urban public spaces in the context of the development of the city for people.

Lecture, practical classes, individual work, solving specific tasks and situations
Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The discipline ends with a test.
Semester assessment: the number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points that were obtained when evaluating work in practical classes and performing thematic tests.
Assessment organization: Work in practical classes is assessed by performance, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Thematic tests are carried out in the form of a test.
