Learning outcomes
LO1. To know, understand and be able to use in practice basic concepts from the theory of geomorphology. LO 5. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of geographical sciences, in particular to solve the problems of geomorphology, paleogeography and nature tourism.LO8. Apply models, methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc., when studying the processes of formation and development of the relief of the earth's surface, individual objects and processes of the geographical envelope, for the needs of the organization and functioning of the field of nature tourism.LO 10. To know the goals of sustainable development and opportunities for their achievement in the professional field of geomorphology. LO 11. To observe moral and ethical aspects of research, honesty, professional code of conduct. LO 13. Use field and laboratory methods to analyze the morphology, genesis, age and dynamics of the relief

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of such general education disciplines as "Geology", "Geomorphology", "Lithological and petrographic basis of relief", "Basics of nature tourism", "Natural tourist attractions of the World". 2) possession of elementary skills of diagnostics of minerals and rocks.
Course content
The course includes two parts, the first of which is devoted to the analysis of the use of natural stone in architecture. Some rocks that have found mass use as building and facing material in different historical periods are considered and examples of structures for the construction of which these materials were used are given. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the use of minerals and rocks in decorative and applied art, sculpture, painting, and literature. The history of the use of gems in cultures of different time periods is considered. The characteristics of the most popular jewelry stones and products made from them are given. The development of the artistic direction "stone art" is also analyzed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey in test and written form, MKR, credit. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. The maximum number of points on the test is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
