Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of such compulsory disciplines as "Fundamentals of general and historical geology", "Geomorphology". 2) possession of elementary skills of macroscopic determination of properties of minerals and rocks.
Course content
The content of the discipline reveals some theoretical and applied issues of petrography and lithology as means of learning the genesis and age of landforms. The structure of the discipline involves the study of the material composition, properties and distribution of igneous rocks that participate in the formation of the earth's surface relief (the first part), the study of the composition, properties, features of the genesis of sedimentary rocks and their relief-forming role (the second part), and the study of the composition, properties and distribution metamorphic rocks and forms of their manifestation in relief (third part).
