Learning outcomes
P01. Know, understand and be able to use in practice basic concepts from the theory of geography. P03. Explain the peculiarities of the organization of the geographical space depending on the relief, modern and ancient geomorphogenesis of the territory. P07. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the landscape envelope in general and geomorphosystems in particular P08. Apply models, methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying the processes of formation and development of the relief of the earth's surface, individual objects and processes of the geographical envelope. P09. To analyze the composition and structure of natural and sociospheres at different spatiotemporal levels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Meteorology", "Topography", "Soil science", "Biogeography", "Geomorphology", "Cartography", "Basics of geoecology", "Basics of GIS", "Landscape science"; 2. To be able to analyze the peculiarities of natural and anthropogenic processes in geographical envelopes, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the state of geocomponents and forecast changes in them; 3. To know the main features of the functioning of natural geosystems of Ukraine that are affected by anthropogenic activity; principles and methods of ensuring sustainable development of territories; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them in production and research activities; to be able to model objects and processes, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geo-information technologies.
Course content
Biogeography of Ukraine is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists in the field of geography. Knowledge of its main provisions is necessary for solving a wide range of tasks in national nature management, nature protection, environmental monitoring, nature tourism, etc. The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of the history of formation and territorial features of flora, fauna, vegetation, animal population, biotopes, settlements in Ukraine. Its mastery provides an understanding of the ecological prerequisites and factors of the distribution of "living matter" in Ukraine and its place in the European and international biogeographic space, and provides an opportunity to learn about the peculiarities of anthropogenic changes and transformations of the organic world, outlines the ways and mechanisms of preserving national biodiversity.

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey in test form,evaluation of practical works, MKW, credit.The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), a mandatory condition for admission to the exam is to write essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
