Learning outcomes
To form the ability to think critically, analyze and synthesize when organizing and implementing planning work, to search, process and analyze information on district planning from various sources; to focus on quality and results when performing tasks and to identify, formulate and solve problems; the ability to collect, record and analyze data using appropriate methods and technological means in field and laboratory conditions; the ability to plan, organize and conduct research, summarize materials from field and laboratory observations, report on their results, and independently research and analyze the spatial and temporal parameters of the organization of nature, population and economy and the relationships between them (according to specialization).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the disciplines "Social Geography", "Economic Geography", "Social Geography", "Theory and Practice of Planning".
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, theories and concepts of spatial development of society.
Possession of elementary skills in the analysis of spatial development, its strategy
Course content
It is proposed to reveal the essence of spatial planning in the forecasting and design system, its geographical foundations; the concept, methodology for modeling and constructing district planning systems, analysis of territorial development, architectural and planning organization of the territory.
The legislative and regulatory framework for spatial planning is disclosed, instructions on the composition, procedure for developing, agreeing and approving planning documentation, types of district planning project documentation (district planning scheme and project); a list of graphic materials included in the district planning scheme and project; the content and methodology for compiling explanatory notes with technical and economic indicators for the district planning scheme and project.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, defense of individual works, discussion
Total volume 150 hours, including:
lectures – 30 hours
practical classes – 30 hours
independent work – 90 hours (including coursework – 30 hours)
Assessment methods and criteria
Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars. The discipline ends with a mandatory written exam.
During the semester, after completing the relevant topics, thematic written tests with open questions are held. To determine the level of achievement of the learning outcomes provided for in paragraphs 2 and 3, students present materials for seminars and defend completed individual tasks.
For students who have not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment during the semester (60% of the maximum possible number of points), a final semester test is held, the maximum score for which does not exceed 40% of the final score.
