1. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, physical geography. 2. To have basic practical skills of collecting, systematizing and processing source information, making calculations, analyzing cartographic materials, summarizing physical and geographical conditions according to various thematic maps.
Course content
The academic discipline "Hydrology" is devoted to the study of general regularities of processes and phenomena in the Earth's hydrosphere; its interdependence and interrelationship with the atmosphere, lithosphere; the main physical and chemical properties and composition of natural waters, the main components of the water cycle on Earth, the physical and geographical patterns of the formation, nutrition and regime of water bodies on land (rivers, lakes, marshes, glaciers, underground waters) and patterns of processes occurring in the world ocean; provides information on land water monitoring, methods of studying and researching water bodies of land and the World Ocean, the essence of hydrological processes and phenomena, the place and role of water in the functioning of ecosystems in various components of the environment, formed both under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical works. Implementation of individual analytical and calculation practical works, modular control works, exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. The number of points that the student receives during the semesters is the sum of the points that were obtained during the evaluation of the completed practical work, the survey and the completion of modular control works. Organization of assessment: a survey in test and written form is conducted after the completion of the teaching of each topic. Practical work is defended by performance, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Modular control works (MCR) are conducted in test form. Students who received less than the minimum prescribed number of points for the MСR will retake it. The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number points that are added to the semester marks – 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam).
