Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the general theory of topography and geodesy, methods of topographical and geodetic research; 2. Be able to understand topographic maps and use them in scientific research, practical and educational activities; 3. To have elementary skills in using topographic maps of various scales and purposes, to reveal modern approaches to the development and use of topographic maps. Have competencies: carrying out field geodetic works on the removal of land plots; quality assessment and determination of the accuracy of shooting results; drawing up technical documents: – plans, maps, profiles.
Course content
"Topographic mapping" is one of the main methods of objective knowledge and visualization of data for metric and thematic mapping and is a special discipline taught to students in the educational program - geodesy and land management. The discipline "Topographic mapping" is used during the course and diploma studies and the design of their results in the disciplines: phototopography, engineering and computer graphics, design and compilation of maps, map publishing technology, GIS and databases.

lectures, practical works
Assessment methods and criteria
Final (final) assessment in the form of an exam (assessment for knowledge of theory (minimum 12, maximum 20 points); assessment for the practical part (13-20). For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 35 points, for admission to the final control form, it is necessary to pass an additionally completed individual complex task. Final evaluation in the form of an exam: (mandatory assessment in oral / written form, including test form)
