Learning outcomes
1. To comprehend and analyze global processes and their impact on international relations and foreign policy of individual states. 2. To analyze and evaluate problems of international and national security, international and international conflicts, approaches, methods and mechanisms of security in the international space and in foreign policy. 3. To identify, assess and forecast political, diplomatic, security, social and other risks in the field of international relations, foreign policy and global development.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Geopolitics", "Fundamentals of National and International Security", "Fundamentals of International Political Studies", "Theory of International Conflicts"; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of political science and trends in modern international political processes.
Course content
Topic 1. The international security system. Topic 2. Map of modern international conflicts. Topic 3. Weak states as a challenge to international security. Topic 4. Mechanisms for managing international conflicts. Topic 5. Problems of nuclear non-proliferation. Topic 6. Cybersecurity. Topic 7. Climate change as a factor in international security. Topic 8. The arms race. Topic 9. Energy security. Topic 10. International terrorism. Topic 11. Hybrid wars and asymmetric conflicts. Topic 12. Russian revisionism: implications for the international security.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control and assessment of knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system: maximum for the discipline - 100 points, which includes 50 points - for modular work №1 and 50 points - for modular work №2.
