Learning outcomes
To know modern models of the state information policy in the field of international relations; the role of foreign policy communication technologies in the implementation process of the international state policy.
To be able to apply the tools of communication technologies in diplomatic practice; use the capacities of communication technologies to promote national interests, counteract destructive aggressive behavior in the information sphere; identify different ways of exercising destructive information influence in order to destroy and discredit the state foreign policy; verify and classify communication technologies that are used to destabilize the diplomatic agency, mission or foreign policy of the state as a whole.
As part of a diplomatic mission to select, directly through communication, on the principle of expediency of using a particular communication technology at a certain historical moment and to implement its work plans of the team.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the theoretical principles of the information society as a phenomenon of civilization, the basics of information and communication activities of diplomatic agencies.
2. To be able to analyze the dynamics of international and diplomatic relations taking into account a set of information and communication factors that affect the activities of Government agencies.
3. To have basic skills to work with information sources of various types, political analysis, analysis of international situations and forecasting.

Topic 1. Information and communication components of the foreign policy in international relations
Topic 2. Models and approaches of states to solve information policy problems. Legal and institutional support
Topic 3. Foreign policy communication technologies: typology, functions and practice

Topic 4. Media diplomacy: traditional and New Media
Topic 5. Image diplomacy and foreign policy branding
Topic 6. Lobbying, GR and Public Affairs in the field of foreign policy
Topic 7. Virtual diplomacy as a new type of interstate cooperation

1. Oral answers, comments, blitz poll, discussion – up to 40 points.
