Learning outcomes
To know and understand the nature, sources and directions of evolution of international relations, international politics, foreign policy and diplomacy of states, the state of theoretical research of international relations and world politics. To know the nature of international communications, various formats of international cooperation, the problems of development of states and international regions in global, regional and local contexts. To prepare analytical statements and reports on the state of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies, as well as other diplomatic documents. To carry out activities in diplomatic and other areas related to international cooperation. To defend professionally the interests of Ukraine in various spheres of international relations.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have knowledge of the basics of diplomacy and diplomatic service. 2. To вe able to analyze the dynamics of interstate diplomatic cooperation. 3. To have the skills of political analysis of international situations and forecasting.
Course content
Module 1. 1 Public diplomacy: the role and importance in the foreign policy of the state 2. The role and place of public diplomacy in shaping the foreign policy image and rebranding of the country 3. Application of instruments of public diplomacy by undemocratic states on the example of Russia and China 4. Public diplomacy as a modern priority of foreign policy 5. Public diplomacy of international organizations Module 2. 1. Cultural diplomacy: the role and importance in the foreign policy of the state 2. National models of cultural diplomacy 3. Cultural diplomacy as an instrument of Ukraine's foreign policy 4. Activities of international organizations in the field of intercultural cooperation
