Learning outcomes
To know the basic concepts and interpret the content of key documents and norms of international human rights law. To know the UN Convention on Human Rights with its own mechanisms for monitoring their observance. To know the institutional and convention bodies and mechanisms of the European, Inter-American, African and Inter-Arab human rights protection systems. Carry out an in-depth analysis, in particular of comparative law, international human right law and national human rights law of Ukraine. Be able to determine the content of international obligations of subjects of international human rights law. Be able to analyze international case law and the practice of other international organizations in the exercise of international jurisdiction over human rights; to prepare certificates and recommendations on international human rights law for the state authorities of Ukraine.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the disciplines: "International Public Law (Theory Basics)", "International Public Law (Main Branches and Institutions)", "Law of Treaties", " International Human Rights Law". 2. Be able to logically justify and express their views on international human rights; use legal concepts and categories of rights applicable in the field of international relations; to interpret the normative content and legal nature of the main international legal acts on the protection of human rights; analyze human rights situations and identify cases of human rights violations; apply the acquired knowledge and skills in solving practical problems; to provide advice on possible ways to protect the rights of clients at the national and international levels in various legal situations.

Introduction 1. International human rights law and international legal mechanisms for the protection of human rights 2. UN Convention on Human Rights with its own international mechanisms for monitoring their observations 3. Collective rights and their protection in universal international law 4. European system of human rights protection. 5. Council of Europe Conventions for the protection of human rights, treaty bodies monitoring their implementation 6. Institutional and convention bodies and mechanisms of Inter-American human rights protection system 7. Institutional and convention bodies and mechanisms of the African and inter-Arab human rights systems

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 20 points), written assignment (up to 20 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The form of final control is an exam. The exam is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the exam is up to 40 points.
