Learning outcomes
To know the history of the development of legal regulation of the conclusion, operation and termination of treaties, the content of the processes of codification and progressive development of the law of treaties, principles, concepts and basic categories of law of treaties; the place of the law of treaties in the system of international law, the relation and interaction of international legal and national procedures when particular treaty enters into force; the content and features of 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties and 2004 Law of Ukraine "On Treaties "; the procedure of conclusion of treaties, features of the action and interpretation of treaties, grounds and procedure for termination and termination of treaties.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basics of «Public International Law (The Basics of the Theory)», Comparative Constitutional Law..
2. Be able to analyse and determine the content of the rights and obligations of subjects of international law, apply the rules and principles of international law and decisions of international courts to meet specific objectives, analyse and establish the content of Ukrainian and foreign legislation.
3. Have basic skills of legal analysis and synthesis, critical thinking, elaboration of a large array of legal material with one’s own conclusions and suggestions

1. The concept and codification of the law of treaties, their parties and form
2. Conclusion, effect and validity of treaties
3. Compliance, interpretation of treaties, their amendment, termination and suspension
4. International treaties in the national legal system of Ukraine

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 22 points), written assignment (up to 20 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The form of final control is a final test. The final test is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the final test – up to 40 points.
