To know forms of economic integration; the terms single market, internal market, market freedoms; scope of acquis in free movement of goods, notion of goods, services, quantitative restrictions; scope of acquis in free movement of capital; scope of acquis in free movement of workers: definitions of workers, direct and indirect discrimination, exceptions; scope of acquis in freedom to provide services; provisions of treaties and secondary legislation on human rights, justice and home affairs. To be able to practically apply the main theories of European integration; to identify the main stages of the EU evolution in accordance with the main theories of economic integration; define the mechanism of establishment of EU freedoms, the role of CoJ practice; predict directions of further EU law development.

Proficiency in English, basic knowledge of EU Law (institutions, sources of law etc.), basic competence in contemporary legal systems and international law.

Lectures, seminars

Current control: answers (up to 30 points), individual analytical assignments (up to 10 points), presentation of reports, case study (up to 20 points). The form of final control is an exam. The exam is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the exam – up to 40 points.
