To know the history of emergence of the law of international security as a branch of modern international law; the sources and contents of the principle of non-use of force or threat of force in the modern international law; the cases where the use of force is acknowledged as legitimate under the modern international law, and their regulation under international law; the legal problems of functioning of the UN Security Council; the powers of the rest of the main UN organs as to the maintenance of international peace and security; the statutory documents, structure and the spheres of activities of the regional security organizations; the spheres of disarmament and limitations on armament; the main international agreements in this sphere; the international and national legal means of enhancing the national security of Ukraine.

- to master successfully the courses 'International public law (the basics of theory'); "The history of international relations"; - to know the theory basics of state and law; - to possess the elementary skills of analysis of the contents of the rules of law in the instruments of national and international law.

Lectures, seminars.

1. Answers at seminars, comments, the fulfillment of tasks for out-of-class works: up to 10 points for module 1, up to 6 points for module 2; 2. The module quizzes up to 20 points for module 1; up to 24 points for module 2. The final evaluation is in the form of credit (up to 40 points).
