Learning outcomes
To know and understand: the purpose of philosophy, its subject-forming and culture-forming capabilities; philosophy’s role and place in the knowledge systems and thinking development; worldview principles of coexistence and cooperation with others.
To be able to: logically and reasonably express opinions on philosophical problems in the context of modern socio-cultural processes; analyze and interpret humanitarian texts using philosophical terms and categories; identify semantic structure and worldview ideas; critically evaluate the results of intellectual work.
Communication: the ability to participate in discussions; express the results of intellectual work in the form of reports, essays, presentations; to show tolerance to another side in the process of intellectual communication.
Autonomy and responsibility: to find the necessary information from different sources, to organize it and assess its reliability;
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; to have basic factual knowledge of humanitarian and social sciences.
To be able to collect and interpret information on phenomena and aspects of the society, social processes and events; apply basic concepts in the analysis of social, political, economic and legal phenomena and processes; identify modern peculiarities of the coexistence of human communities and societies in the context of globalization; plan and evaluate their own work; use interactive and multimedia tools.
To possess skills in working with humanitarian texts; producing complex oral and written messages; interaction and cooperation in learning through exploratory situations.

Topic 2. Worldview: essence, historicity and value dimensions.
Topic 3. Philosophy as a system of knowledge.
Topic 4. Categories of philosophy: the content and functions.
Topic 5. The main stages of philosophical thought development.
Part 2. Theoretical philosophy
Topic 6. Philosophical doctrine of the Being.
Topic 7. The Being of human being and nature.
Topic 8. Philosophy of consciousness.
Topic 9. Theoretical-and-methodological foundations of cognition.
Topic 10. Philosophy of language.
Part 3. Practical philosophy
Topic 11. Philosophical understanding of the historical process.
Topic 12. Society as a subject of philosophy.
Topic 13. Philosophical understanding of the economic sphere of society.
