Learning outcomes
1. To know and master theoretical knowledge about:
definite/indefinite articles.
Tense-forms (Present (Past, Future) Indefinite, Present (Past, Future) Continuous, Present (Past, Future) Perfect, Present( Past, Future) Perfect Continuous.) The meaning and use of tenses. Passive voice. The peculiarities of the use and formation. The rule of Sequence of tenses, Direct and Indirect speech. Verbals: Infinitive and Gerund. General characteristics. Infinitive and gerundial complexes.
2. To practice the skills of:
Correct pronunciation of English sounds and words. Mastering the technique of reading aloud, paying attention to the correct rhythmic and intonation characteristics of the sentence.
To write 1000-word dictations (120 full words in 40 minutes);
3. To understand the English language and communicate within the studied topic; to demonstrate communication skills; to perform group tasks under the teacher’s guidance.

1. Two content modules, each of 10 points - 20 points;
2. Current control of progress: vocabulary – 10 points, grammar – 10 points, texts – 10 points, written assignments – 10 points: 40 points in total;
3. Comprehensive final module: dictation or reproduction – 10 points; vocabulary control/ conversational topics – 10 points; vocabulary and grammar test – 20 points: 40 points in total.
