Analyze information sources, prepare analytical expert reports on countries and regions of the world, and have basic skills in forecasting foreign policy of countries and development of interstate relations

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of disciplines "International Relations and World Politics", "Regional Geography"; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of political science, historical preconditions for the formation of the foreign policy of the world, and modern international political processes.
Course content
Module 1. Topic 1. The geopolitical environment of Ukraine's foreign policy Topic 2. Conceptual and theoretical foundations of Ukraine's foreign policy Topic 3. Relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict at the present stage Topic 4. Ukraine's policy on the post-Soviet space: integration dimension and bilateral interaction Topic 5. Ukraine's relations with the European Union and leading European countries Topic 6. Ukraine's policy towards Central and Eastern Europe regions: integration projects and bilateral cooperation Topic 7. Ukraine's policy on the Black Sea space: integration initiatives and bilateral relations with the region

Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of assessment: the level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of student work in seminars, independent writing, tests and analytical work, presentation, and defense of research. Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing of knowledge and skills: • during the answer to the seminar (participation in the discussion) - 30% in the general/final evaluation system; • in the form of writing independent works - 20% in the general/final evaluation system; • in the form of group presentations of research tasks - 30% in the general/final evaluation system; • in the form of writing a test - 20% in the overall/final evaluation system All types of work are assessed during the semester, including independent work and individual and collective tasks.
