The main task of the discipline "Human Rights Protection in International Business" is to provide students with basic theoretical knowledge in the field of human rights, knowledge of the main directions of human rights protection and current trends in international business, understanding the problems and prospects of human rights in the economic sector on the part of violations by entrepreneurs, as well as solving practical problems and hypothetical cases of human rights violations in the field of international business, which provide an opportunity to navigate in the field of human rights protection in accordance with universal and European standards

Distance form

The discipline "Human Rights Protection in International Business" is a discipline of free choice for students of the educational program "International Business". This discipline is based on and closely interacts with the cycle of legal disciplines "Theory of State and Law", "Comparative Constitutional Law", "International Public Law", "Human Rights", but can be taught to students majoring in "International Economic Relations" independently of other legal disciplines

Topic 1. The concept and classification of human rights. Current trends in the protection of human rights Topic 2. Sources of legal regulation in the field of human rights and business Topic 3. Implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights at the national level Topic 4. The obligation of the state to protect human rights from violations by business Topic 5. European Convention on Human Rights and ECtHR practice in the field of business Topic 6. Business commitments in the field of human rights in EU law Topic 7. Social corporate responsibility Topic 8. Business and gender equality. Prohibition of discrimination

Lectures, seminars

Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Assessment of students' knowledge is carried out by current control, and the final result of the student's work during the semester is evaluated on a 100-point scale. Current control: answers and presentations (up to 40 points), written analytical individual and group tasks, case studies (up to 40 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester.
