The discipline "Settlements and Payments in International Business" is based on and closely interacts with such disciplines as: "International Business", "Financial Management", "Management of Foreign Economic Activity", "Banking". The course is theoretical and applied and logically related to the disciplines of the curriculum of the educational and professional program "International Business (with compulsory study of two foreign languages)"
Course content
Regulatory bases of organization of settlements in the sphere of foreign economic activity. Methods of payment and methods of payment in international trade. Calculation methods: bills, checks, payment orders. Unified rules and customs of international payments and settlements Methods of payment: documentary letter of credit Methods of payment: documentary collection Bank guarantee as a tool to ensure the fulfillment of obligations Financing of foreign trade operations Forfaiting in foreign trade operations Factoring in foreign trade operations Credit lines of foreign institutions under the guarantees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Correspondent relations with foreign banks International payment system SWIFT

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Assessment of students' knowledge is carried out by current control, and the final result of the student's work during the semester is evaluated on a 100-point scale. Current control: answers and presentations (up to 40 points), written analytical individual and group tasks, case studies (up to 40 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester.
