Learning outcomes
To know the concepts and terminology of international trade regulation; To know the source base on the regulation of international trade; To know the tariff and non-tariff methods in the regulation of international trade; To be able to evaluate the effectiveness of the main tools of regulation of world trade and to draw conclusions about their advantages and disadvantages; Communication in the modeling business group game on imports in Ukraine; To make and justify decisions on possible means of implementation of customs procedures in the state's trade policy.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of principles of macroeconomics (Fundamental Theory), political economy of international trade. 2. Ability to analyze and use information technology to find information on the legal regulation of international trade. 3. Have the basic skills of research methodology in international trade, critical thinking, working out of a considerable amount of economic and statistical materials while providing one’s own conclusions and proposals. 4. Proficiency in English
Course content
Theme 1. The concept and mechanism of foreign trade policy. Theme 2. Historical development of international trade regulation. Theme 3. Tariff methods for international trade regulation. Theme 4. Non-tariff methods for international trade regulation. Theme 5. International commodity agreements in the system of regulation of global trade. Theme 6. The concept and mechanism of regulation for international trade in services. Theme 7. The role of international organizations in the regulation of international trade in goods and services. Theme 8. Regulation of international trade in regional and interregional groups. Theme 9. Transformation of the mechanism of regulation of international trade in Ukraine (WTO accession and economic association with the EU).

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Answers on seminars, additions, blitz-polls, discussion, tasks: - 50 points (50 %). 2. Solution of practical problems: - 20 points (20 %). 3. Modular control work: - 30 points (30 %).
