Learning outcomes
Know the history, sources, principles, subjects of political the economy of international trade, as well as an understanding of the determinants of the trade pattern between countries and assess its effects on the distribution of income between and within these countries; the political economy of trade policy and the economic effects of different trade policy instruments. Be able to find out the main trends and patterns of development of international trade; prepare references and recommendations on international trade policy issues for state authorities. Master the skills of convincing defense of one’s point of view on problematic issues of international trade. Autonomy in preparation of analytical notes and recommendations on specific topical theoretical and practical issues of international political economy for state authorities, responsibility for the results of decision-making in the field of trade policy.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of International micro- and macroeconomics, history of international economic relations. 2. Ability to analyze and establish the causes and effects of trends in the world trade system. 3. Have the basic skills of finding and analyzing regulatory documents, analytical materials, and sources of statistics. 4. Proficiency in English
