Learning outcomes
Possess and apply knowledge and skills from general and professional training when solving specialized tasks. Analyze the results of research on the morphological and functional state of the organism and the environment, evaluate the significance of indicators. To provide emergency pre-hospital care under any circumstances, using knowledge about a person, his organs and systems, observing the relevant ethical and legal norms by making an informed decision.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the scientific-theoretical and practical material of educational disciplines taught to students of the "Bachelor" educational level.
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, cytology, immunology.
Knowledge of basic principles of basic laboratory research methods.
Course content
The discipline "Food and non-food poisoning" includes information on poisonous substances of artificial and natural origin, the risk of possible food poisoning and measures to prevent it, health risk assessments when using chemicals during laboratory research, risks of non-food poisoning. The subject of study of the academic discipline is: the laws of interaction between a living organism and poison, concepts of poison, mechanisms of toxicity of various substances, ways of entering and transforming poison in the body, modern methods, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of food and non-food poisoning.
