Learning outcomes
PR7. Have the skills to work independently and as a leader, to get results in a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity when growing ornamental plants in open and closed soil, designing, creating and operating horticultural facilities.
PR8. Вe able to competently apply the technologies of planting planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soil.
PR10. To design and organize activities for the cultivation of planting material of decorative grass and flower plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basics of botany and plant physiology, decorative qualities of plants, soil characteristics.
2. Be able to - identify ornamental herbaceous plants, compose compositions in accordance with color science and and three-dimensional compositions in the volume determined by the normative disciplines taught in previous years of study.
3. Have basic skills in open and closed ground
Course content
The discipline "Ornamental crop production" is an elective discipline, which forms a comprehensive view of the structure and principles of floriculture, varieties of beautiful flowering and ornamental deciduous plants of open ground, soil, water and light, nutrition, modern technologies for growing the products of floriculture.

Semester assessment:
1. Oral survey - RN 1.1- 6 points / 3 points;
2. Object recognition: RN 2.1 – 8 points / 4 points;
3. Protection of the presentation - RN 1.1; 3.1. - 10 points / 5 points;
4. Selection of the assortment according to the sketch of RN 2.3 - 12 points / 6 points;
5. Submission of laboratory work - RN 1.3, 2.2 - 14 points / 7 points.
6. Modular control work - PH 1.2 - 10 points / 5 points.
