Learning outcomes
Know the concepts of scientific method and methodology, basic methods of scientific research: empirical, theoretical, general scientific; general scientific methodological
principles. Know the characteristics of known methodological systems. To be able to distinguish science as a system of knowledge, social institute and research activities, to understand the historical change of the system of principles of science as a change of types of scientific rationality in the process of global scientific revolutions. Be able to distinguish between method, methodology, techniques, techniques; be aware of the multilevel methodology of science, the diversity of specific scientific methodologies, understand the norms of scientific research as methodological principles; use the requirements for scientific theory as general scientific methodological principles. Clear and unambiguous communication of one's own knowledge, conclusions and arguments to specialists and non-specialists.

Know: theoretical foundations of professional disciplines, basic concepts of philosophy of science. Be able to: collect and interpret information on scientific research.
Course content
Within the framework of this discipline the content of the concepts "methodology", "methodology", "research methods", "many methodological systems", understanding of science as research is revealed, concrete-scientific, general scientific and philosophical levels of methodology are considered. Features of the structure of theoretical and empirical scientific knowledge are considered.
