Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: basic concepts of the basics of databases, principles of system design. Be able to: analyze system design requirements and formalize them. Have skills: in mathematical logic and programming.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to master basic knowledge of the foundations of the structure and development of multidimensional data warehouses and business analysis systems, report generation and application of Data Mining. The academic discipline “Development of Business Analytical Systems” is a component of the educational and professional program for training specialists at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the field of knowledge 12 “Information Technologies” in the specialty 122 “Computer Science”, the educational and professional program - “Informatics”. This discipline is an elective subject under the “Informatics” program. It is taught in the 8th semester of the 4th year of the bachelor’s degree in the amount of 120 hours (4 ECTS credits), including: lectures – 42 hours, consultations – 2 hours, independent work – 76 hours. The course includes 2 parts and 2 tests. The discipline ends with an exam in the 8th semester.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: test paper 1 - 24 points/14.4 points; test paper 2 - 24 points/14.4 points; current assessment - 12 points/7.2 points. Final assessment (in the form of an exam): maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student: 40 points; form of conduct and types of tasks: written. Structure of the examination paper and assessment criteria: 2 theoretical questions, 1 task.
