Learning outcomes
The student should know the current state of the field regarding the topic thesis; theoretical information on the subject of the diploma work; methods, algorithms and mechanisms used in the work. The student must be able to make an analytical review of scientific and technical literature; perform applied research, engineering development; formulate conclusions based on the results of the work performed.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The thesis is performed at the final stage of education after studying the entire set of educational components (compulsory and optional) of the educational program and is based on the results of their mastery. It is especially important to learn the disciplines "Publishing systems", "Methods presentation of research results" as well as successful implementation of assistantship and scientific production practices.
Course content
Master's thesis is a type of individual research work of the applicant, performed by him at the final stage of master's studies. It is a theoretical and applied research. The topic of the thesis corresponds to the purpose of the educational program "Engineering of computer systems and networks", that is, the training of qualified research engineers with the developed competencies necessary for the performance of professional duties and carrying out professional activities with the following technical means: hardware, software, programmable, reconfigurable , as well as with system and application software of computers and computer systems of universal and special purpose, stationary, mobile, embedded, distributed computer networks of various scales, the Internet of Things, IT infrastructures, interfaces and protocols for the interaction of heterogeneous components.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Methodical content and management of the master's thesis is entrusted to the graduate department of computer engineering. Thesis topic for each student discussed and approved by the department before the start of its implementation. The student has the right to independently propose a thesis topic. The scientific supervision of the master's thesis is individual, that is, a specific supervisor is appointed for each candidate. Completion of the master's thesis is mainly the master's independent work, but he has the right to consult with the supervisor and other employees of the department. The applicant must submit a fully prepared graduation thesis to the department no later than two weeks before the day of the defense at the Examination Board. Assessment methods and criteria
The master's thesis is provided in printed form, written in the official language. Defense of the master's thesis is two-stage. The first stage is a preliminary defense at a meeting of the department. At this stage, the student of higher education submits a fully prepared work, a review of the scientific supervisor (with an assessment), a review (with an assessment). The second stage is a public defense at a meeting of the Examination Commission, which conducts the final attestation of the applicant. Both stages of defense take place according to the same procedure, the basis of which is the applicant's report. Department at its meeting, issues a preliminary assessment and allows the work to be defended at the Examination Board.
