Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Wave and oscillatory processes" is based on the cycle of disciplines of professional and practical master's training, namely: "General physics, "Semiconductor electronics", "Superconductor electronics", "Microwave electronics", "Magnetic and spin-dependent phenomena in solids" , "Computer information processing", "Micro and nanoelectronics", etc. master should know: basic physical concepts, categories and methods of scientific and research solution of spectral and nonlinear problems and complex technical tasks related to the needs of the physical foundations of propagation. the master should be able to: analyze different types of elementary excitations and their interaction in ferrites and superconductors, work independently with special literature and set and solve scientific problems.
Course content
The discipline "Wave and Oscillatory Processes" belongs to the list of disciplines of choice at universities and is taught in the third semester of the master's degree. It examines oscillatory and wave systems and processes at the propagation of mechanical, electromagnetic, spin and magnetoelastic waves in nonlinear media, in particular ferrites and superconductors, from a single point of view. This approach is related to the specifics of the future practical activities of specialists in the field of quantum radiophysics and nanoelectronics. It contributes to a deeper understanding of the properties of these systems and processes, their mutual connection and creates a stronger foundation for mastering special disciplines that are studied in accordance with the curricula of the specialty "Applied Physics and Nanomaterials". The material of the discipline is structured in such a way that the theoretical principles of oscillatory and wave processes are mostly accompanied by numerous tasks with detailed solutions, analyzing which you can independently learn to apply theoretical knowledge

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The academic semester has 2 content modules: content module 1 includes topics 1-4, content module 2 includes topics 5-8. Students perform a practical task. To determine the level of achievement of the learning outcomes, control works and practical tasks check the knowledge of material studied in the first and second meaningful modules. Successful completion of practical tasks and writing of modular control papers is mandatory for admission to the credit. In case of absence from class, student must work on the topic orally if there is a synopsis (materials) of preparation
Assessment methods and criteria
