Learning outcomes
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge regarding the use and application of various methods, tools and recommendations, as well as practical application of communication security and information protection recommendations when identifying telecommunication systems and networks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully study the discipline "Fundamentals of Communication Security" it is necessary to master the material of the disciplines: "Digital Signal Processing", "Analog Electronic Devices", "Digital Devices", "Digital Circuit Engineering and Electronics", "Statistical Radioengineering", "Basics of Information Transmission Theory ".
Course content
The concept of communication security. Concept of information protection system and cyber security. Channels of influence on electronic communications assets, means of protection. Technical channels of information leakage. A model of attacks on electronic communications assets. Means of communication security. Implementation and testing of a comprehensive information protection system.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 30 hrs, laboratory work - 14 hrs, consultations - 1 hr, independent work - 45 hrs, total - 90 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: modular control work (up to 20 points), defense of laboratory works (up to 40 points), together - up to 60 points. Final evaluation in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
