Learning outcomes
The student must know the essence of investing, types of investments according to various classification features; the essence of financial investment, financial
tools and their classification; objects of real investments and their characteristics; organizational and economic foundations of investments in means of production; essence and methods of attracting foreign investments; characteristics of international credit and financial institutions and their functions;; be able to calculate simple and compound interest, compound and discount cash flows, estimate cash flow, take into account the impact of inflation on the value of money; collect information for institutional, budgetary, socio-cultural, commercial analysis of investment projects; carry out calculations of the main indicators of the evaluation of the effectiveness and feasibility of the implementation of the investment project, carry out the calculation of the cost of individual sources of financing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the basic principles of the operation of the enterprise; the general logic of the company's accounting policy; basics of legislative regulation of business activity; principles of cash flow formation at the enterprise; subject-object composition of the financial services market, the basics of financial market regulation.
Possession of the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical data, generalization of knowledge, working with the regulatory and legal framework, educational activities of a research nature.
Course content
The discipline is focused on learning the basics of the theory and practice of investment activity, forming a system of knowledge about the organization and technology of investing, making informed investment decisions regarding the search for investment sources, attracting financial resources, developing rational methods and investment schemes. The role and place of investment processes in the country's economy are considered; subjects of investment processes; types and forms of investments; peculiarities of attracting foreign investments; investment projects: essence, types, design phases and features of application. Revealed: the concept of the value of money in time; application of various interest calculation models; static and dynamic methods of justifying real investments; models for assessing profitability and market value of financial investments; risk assessment methods of investment processes; taking into account inflation in making investment decisions; investment portfolio management mechanisms.
