Learning outcomes
“Physics of Surface Phenomena” discipline accomplishes the cycle of training of bachelors in radio-physics and electronics. It is necessary for the formation of professional background of expert in applied physics, by accomplishing the logical series of disciplines: general physics, solid state physics, surface physics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course of “Physics of Surface Phenomena” is based on the cycle of disciplines, including the courses of general physics, “Quantum Mechanics”, “Solid State Physics”.
Course content
The program of the discipline includes the main information on the solid state surface (morphology, physical, chemical, optical and electronic characteristics), main phenomena at solid surfaces, methods of preparation and characterization of surfaces, practical application of surface phenomena in modern technologies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Оцінюються контрольні роботи, самостійні роботи (реферати), відповіді на заліку. Вклад результатів навчання у підсумкову оцінку, за умови їх опанування на належному рівні і успішної здачі всіх робіт наступний: знання до 50 %; вміння – до 35%; комунікація – до 5%; автономність та відповідальність – до 10%.
