PLO 10. Know the system of the first foreign language. PLO 13. Know the norms of the first foreign language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 15. Analyse language units, determine their interaction and characterise language phenomena and processes that cause them. PLO 17. Use the first foreign language in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in various spheres of life.

Full-time form

The student must successfully complete the following courses: "Introduction to Linguistics", "History of the Spanish Language", "Comparative Lexicology of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Comparative Grammar of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Practical Course of a Foreign Language" and know basic linguistic concepts; principles of language material analysis; peculiarities of semantics, structure and functioning of units of all levels of the Spanish language; basics of communication theory; be able to: apply linguistic tools in practice; have elementary skills of selection, analysis and interpretation of linguistic facts; communicate on linguistic topics.

The discipline consists of two parts: the first "Basic Concepts of Portuguese Stylistics", "Theory of Figures" is aimed at mastering the basic concepts of the theory of stylistics, as well as at studying the stylistic differentiation of Portuguese vocabulary and the stylistic possibilities of the means of other language levels; the second "Functional Stylistics. Theory of Figures" covers the system of functional styles of modern Spanish and aims to introduce the modern theory of figures. The discipline, firstly, continues the development of the terminological language apparatus, the study of language theory, and secondly, the practical and theoretical mastery of the Portuguese language as such, which was started in the junior years, the development of skills related to the field of professional activity. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with an exam.

Educational activities during the semester: lectures, practical classes, tasks performed in the course of independent work, namely: participation in discussions, additions; answers in practical classes; preparation and defence of presentations.

Assessment criteria: oral response max. 20 points, supplementary information max. 6 points, participation in discussions max. 20 points. Preparation of the presentation max - 7 points, defence of the presentation max -7 points. The maximum number of points during the semester is 60. The minimum is 36. The course ends with an exam - 24/40.
