Learning outcomes
PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature, to interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 12. To observe the rules of academic integrity. PLO 13. To explain the essence of both specific linguistic issues and one’s point of view and its justification to experts and laypeople in an accessible and argumentative manner, particularly to individuals who are studying. PLO 15. To choose optimal research approaches and methods of analysis for the specific language and literary material. PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in a chosen linguistic field to solve complex tasks and issues, which require updates and integration of knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete or lacking information and contradictory requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The program is designed for students who have studied the German language throughout their bachelor's degree and have achieved at least a B2 level of proficiency in the foreign language. The student should be familiar with basic linguistic terms, principles, and methods of searching and analyzing material in the field of the foreign language. They should be able to apply linguistic tools to search, analyze, and process literature related to the discipline. The speaking competence should be sufficient for listening to lecture materials and preparing for seminars in the field.
Course content
The aim of teaching the academic discipline "Linguoculturology: Germanic and Slavic Space" is to familiarize students with contemporary concepts of linguistics and their interdisciplinary nature. The comparative analysis of the Germanic and Slavic (specifically German and Ukrainian) cultural spaces is pursued in order to understand their history, language, and mentality. The goal is to acquire skills in in-depth analysis of language development through transformations influenced by historical and cultural processes in society. Emphasis is placed on the ability to approach the discipline with a comprehensive perspective and utilize methods of historical and comparative analysis. The teaching is conducted through a series of lectures, seminars, and independent work by students. The discipline concludes with an examination at the end of the semester.

Educational activities throughout the semester include: Assignments to be completed during independent work. Intermediate assessment based on lecture materials. Participation in discussions during seminars. Projects and presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: • Maximum score throughout the semester - 100 points. • Assignments completed during independent work: LO 1.1-1.3, 2.1-2.3, 3, 4 - 10 points. • Intermediate assessment - written tests on course materials - 10 points. • Participation in practical sessions: Units 1.1-4 - 10 points (evaluation based on the completeness of responses). Final evaluation in the form of an exam: • Project - 20 points. • Final exams - 10 points. • Exam - 40 points.
