Course content
The comprehensive final examination in Intercultural German Studies (German language) is conducted in an oral and written form and aims to assess: The students' knowledge in the main fields of philology (linguistics and literature) and their ability to apply this knowledge to solve scientific and practical tasks. The level of practical language skills in German, which constitute the acquired intercultural communicative competence of the students. Proficiency in a range of modern methods and approaches to language learning. The structure of the examination paper is determined by different types of theoretical and practical tasks within thematic blocks, including theoretical questions on foreign literature and theoretical language disciplines, pragmalinguistic analysis of a text, and a written translation of a German-language article (excerpt) into Ukrainian.

Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation takes place on a national (5-point) and 100-point scale. Each task of the exam is evaluated at a maximum of 25 points. The evaluation criteria for each exam task are given in the exam program.
