Learning outcomes
The results consist in the formation of students' integral system of knowledge about the theory and practice of working with historical sources (movable and immovable monuments); as a result of studying the discipline, students should learn the elements of source criticism, be able to formulate the main task of studying a certain source-scientific problem, search, identify and select historical sources, research and use them in scientific work in accordance with the requirements of source-scientific theory and practice.

1. Знати найважливіші факти, події та процеси історичного минулого людства.
2. Вміти формулювати основне завдання із вивчення певної джерелознавчої проблеми, здійснювати пошук, виявлення та відбір джерел, досліджувати та
використовувати їх в науковій роботі у відповідності до вимог джерелознавчої теорії та практики.
3. Володіти елементарними навичками джерелознавчої критики, історичного аналізу, встановлення справжності та достовірності джерельної інформації.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1-5, content module 2 (СМ2) includes topics 6-11.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work.
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are:
• complete disclosure of the issue
• the logic of the presentation
• use of basic and additional literature
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
