Learning outcomes
Know the legal framework and normative documents for ensuring the activities of museums. Know the basics of museum fundraising, marketing and commercial activities. Be able to analyze statutory documents of museums. Be able to use the latest technologies in museum activities. Independently monitor the development of the international practice of the museum industry and its legal regulation.

1. Know the basic principles of museum work. 2. Know the principles of separation of powers in Ukraine.
Course content
In the course program, students study and classify regulatory documents in the field of museum affairs, namely: state legislative acts, museum statutes, international conventions, etc. Areas of competence of the specified documents, differences between them and similar characteristics are analyzed. The educational discipline "Legal regulation of the museum industry" is a component of the training of specialists at the "bachelor" level, it is a continuation of the "Introduction to the profession" course, the basis for the courses "Historical and cultural reserves", "Foundation work in museums", "Modern trends in museum affairs ( with the basics of management and marketing)", "Management of cultural heritage").

Planned educational activities and teaching methods - lectures, seminars, independent work, practical classes.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received during seminars (oral surveys); points received for completing essays; points received during module control (for completing test tasks), as well as points received during the final control (exam), namely: for answering two open-ended questions. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
